The curious case of the Royal Navy jet stuck in India

A British F-35B fighter jet, worth $110 million, has been stranded at Thiruvananthapuram airport in India since June 14th due to a technical fault after diverting due to bad weather. Engineers from the HMS Prince of Wales have been unable to repair it, prompting the jet's relocation to a maintenance facility. UK technicians are expected to arrive with specialist equipment to fix the aircraft and return it to service. The incident has raised security concerns and been discussed in the UK Parliament, with assurances given that the jet remains under close British control and that Indian authorities are cooperating.
