Two elderly female tourists, Easton Janet Taylor (UK) and Alison Jean Taylor (New Zealand), were killed by a protective elephant in Zambia's South Luangwa National Park. The elephant, accompanied by a calf, charged despite safari guides' attempts to deter it with warning shots. This follows two similar incidents last year involving elderly women tourists. The attack occurred during a walking safari approximately 600 kilometers from Lusaka.
