Microsoft Announces Another Major Layoff of Thousands | JQJO

Microsoft is conducting another round of layoffs, affecting multiple teams globally, including sales and Xbox. While the exact number remains undisclosed, it's estimated to be around 9,000 employees, representing less than 4% of its workforce from last June. This follows a similar layoff of 6,000 employees in May and smaller cuts earlier this year. The company attributes the reductions to restructuring and increasing efficiency, although concerns remain about the impact of AI on software engineering jobs.
