Army ROTC Programs at Dozens of Campuses Are Being Shut Down or Reorganized

The US Army is restructuring its Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program, impacting 291 students across 84 colleges. This restructuring, described as a cost-saving measure, will see some programs shut down while others are reorganized. Affected cadets may transfer to nearby programs or be released from their contracts without penalty. The Army aims to maintain a commissioning capacity of around 5,500 officers annually, aligning with current demand.
