Charlize Theron faced backlash for joking about Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's $50 million wedding, calling the attendees "suckers." While intended as humor at a charity event, her comment sparked criticism on X, with some accusing her of jealousy. Theron also used the event to criticize current US political policies on immigration, abortion, and LGBTQ+ rights.
