Squid Game Creator Denies American Remake Rumors | JQJO

Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk denies rumors of a David Fincher-led American remake, despite the season 3 finale featuring an American recruiter played by Cate Blanchett. Hwang clarifies that Blanchett's inclusion wasn't intended as a spin-off setup but rather to emphasize the cyclical nature of exploitative systems. He expressed interest in a Fincher-directed version, though, highlighting the show's commentary on capitalism's pervasive issues and the need for continued efforts against such systems.
