Software engineer Doug Brown uncovered a 27-year-old hidden Easter egg in the Power Mac G3's ROM: a photo of the development team. The image, discovered using a hex editor, was previously inaccessible. Brown found clues in the ROM's code that revealed the activation method: formatting a RAM disk with the text "secret ROM image." This triggers the display of a JPEG image named "The Team." The discovery was initially shared on the #mac68k IRC channel.
