Bruins Draft Hagens: Top Center Prospect Selected | JQJO

The Boston Bruins selected James Hagens, a center from Boston College, with the 7th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Hagens, initially projected as the number one pick, saw his draft stock fall due to concerns about his size and freshman-year production. Despite this, scouts praise his skill and dynamism. The Bruins also acquired additional draft picks through trades involving Trent Frederic and Charlie Coyle. Hagens expressed his excitement to join the Bruins and his desire to play in the NHL quickly, though the team plans to take a measured approach to his development.
