At least 16 Pakistani soldiers died and 29 others were injured in a suicide attack in North Waziristan, Pakistan. A suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a military convoy. The attack, claimed by a faction of the Pakistani Taliban, also damaged nearby houses, injuring civilians. The incident follows increased violence in the region since the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan in 2021.
