China ‘planned car collision’ during Taiwan vice-president’s visit to Prague

Taiwan's Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim revealed that Czech intelligence uncovered a Chinese plot to stage a car accident during her 2024 Prague visit. The plan, allegedly orchestrated by Chinese diplomats and intelligence officers, aimed to "demonstratively confront" Hsiao. While the attempt failed, Taiwan and Czech officials condemned the actions, with Taiwan demanding an apology and China accusing the Czech government of interference. Hsiao affirmed that she won't be intimidated from advocating for Taiwan's interests.
