Google’s Doppl app took off my socks

Google is testing a new AI app called Doppl that lets users virtually try on clothes from online images. Users upload a photo of themselves and a screenshot of the desired outfit; Doppl then generates a still image or video of the user wearing the outfit. While generally successful, the app struggles with accurate clothing reproduction, particularly pants, sometimes creating unrealistic results like AI-generated feet. Doppl includes safety features, rejecting revealing outfits and images of public figures. Despite its flaws, the app showcases advanced AI capabilities and offers a convenient way to visualize outfits before purchase.
