Suns Draft Maluach, Trade for Williams | JQJO

The Phoenix Suns made a splash in the 2025 NBA Draft, selecting Duke center Khaman Maluach 10th overall. Moments later, they acquired Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams in a trade involving the Suns' No. 29 pick and a 2029 first-rounder. Maluach, a 7-foot-2 center with high potential, is considered a steal. The Williams trade, however, is more complex, raising questions about roster balance and future cap implications. The Suns' aggressive moves leave them with limited assets for further improvements, creating uncertainty about their overall strategy.
