Microsoft extends Windows 10 support beyond its October 2025 end-of-life date. Consumers can get an extra year of security updates for free by opting into Windows Backup or using 1000 Microsoft Rewards points, or by paying $30. This offer doesn't officially extend support, but provides an additional year of updates for those unable or unwilling to upgrade to Windows 11. Notifications will proactively inform users starting in July. Businesses will need to pay for extended support.
