Wizards Trade Poole, Bey for McCollum, Olynyk | JQJO

The Washington Wizards traded Jordan Poole, Saddiq Bey, and the 40th pick to the New Orleans Pelicans for CJ McCollum, Kelly Olynyk, and a 2027 second-round pick. The trade improves Washington's cap situation, creating potential for $100 million in cap space in 2026. For the Pelicans, Poole provides a young shot creator while McCollum brings veteran leadership to Washington, bolstering their young core and aiming to retain their 2026 first-round pick. The trade also benefits both teams' draft capital.
