Celtics Acquire Scoring Guard Anfernee Simons | JQJO

The Boston Celtics acquired guard Anfernee Simons and two second-round picks from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Jrue Holiday. Simons, a proven scorer with a strong 3-point shot, is seen as a key addition to the Celtics' offense, especially with Jayson Tatum's injury. His 2024-25 season saw him average 22.6 points and shoot 38.5% from beyond the arc. Simons' expiring contract provides Boston with roster flexibility, either as a potential trade asset or a short-term solution.
