This follows the April 2024 shutdown of the standalone Showtime streamer and the integration of Showtime content into Paramount+. The company states that Showtime programming remains a key component of Paramount+, despite the name change. This contrasts with Warner Bros. Discovery's decision to reinstate the HBO name to its streaming service.
