Iran reportedly moves to shut Strait of Hormuz after US attacks

Following US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, Iran's parliament voted to close the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial oil shipping route. The decision, however, ultimately rests with Iran's Supreme National Security Council and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Approximately 30% of global seaborne oil transit passes through the strait, making its closure a significant global threat.
