Mario Kart World: No Other Nintendo Characters Considered | JQJO

Mario Kart World producer Kosuke Yabuki confirmed that characters from other Nintendo franchises, like Link or Isabelle, were never considered for inclusion. He stated that the vast array of Mario characters alone provided sufficient variety and that adding characters from other universes felt incongruous. Yabuki emphasized the extensive roster of characters and costumes available within the Mario universe, assuring players there's ample choice. The decision was made to maintain the game's focus on the Mario universe.
