Atlanta Braves ace Chris Sale has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a fractured left ribcage, sustained during a diving play. The injury is a significant blow to the Braves, who recently gained momentum in their playoff push. Sale, the reigning NL Cy Young winner, boasts a stellar 2.52 ERA this season. His return timeline is uncertain, potentially jeopardizing his 2025 season. The Braves recalled Austin Cox to fill Sale's roster spot, leaving their rotation depleted with other injuries to key pitchers.
