The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched Operation Rising Lion, a large-scale air strike deep into Iran targeting military infrastructure, including missile storage sites, air defenses, and radar systems. Around 60 Israeli jets participated, destroying Iranian fighter jets and killing two senior commanders: Saeed Izadi, linked to Hamas, and Behnam Shahriyari, who armed Hezbollah. The IDF claims to have significantly reduced Iran's missile launch capabilities and intercepted over 1,000 Iranian drones launched at Israel, also striking Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.
