Marijuana’s links to heart attack and stroke are becoming clearer

New research links marijuana use to increased risks of stroke, heart attack, and cardiovascular death, even among younger adults. A study of 24 studies found a twofold increase in cardiovascular death risk among users. While correlation doesn't equal causation, marijuana's effects on blood pressure and heart rate are known. Experts advise caution, especially for older adults and those with pre-existing conditions. Frequency and THC concentration likely influence risk, with daily use showing the highest risk. Recommendations include infrequent use, low-THC products, and avoiding inhalation.
