Supreme Court rejects toy company challenge

The Supreme Court refused to expedite a challenge by toy companies Learning Resources and hand2mind against President Trump's tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The ruling allows the Trump administration 30 days to respond. The companies argued the tariffs, temporarily blocked by a lower court but reinstated by an appeals court, cause significant harm and should be expedited. While disappointed, the companies' CEO stated the ultimate showdown will be at the Supreme Court. The tariffs' legality remains contested, with challenges focusing on the President's authority under the IEEPA.
