Devers Traded: Giants Plan First Base Role | JQJO

Rafael Devers, traded to the San Francisco Giants, will transition from designated hitter to playing first base. This follows a contentious situation with the Boston Red Sox, where Devers was reportedly unhappy about being moved from third base and the manner in which the change was communicated. The Giants plan to utilize Devers at first base, potentially alongside top prospect Bryce Eldridge, creating a flexible lineup. Devers expressed his eagerness to move forward with his new team, leaving behind the drama in Boston.
