The US bunker-buster bomb and how it could be used against Iran's nuclear program

Amidst Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, speculation mounts regarding potential US deployment of the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), a bunker-buster bomb capable of penetrating 200 feet. The 30,000-pound bomb, designed for deep underground targets like Iran's Fordo facility, contains a 5,000-pound explosive payload. Only the US possesses both the bomb and the B-2 Spirit bomber needed for delivery. While its use remains hypothetical, concerns exist regarding nuclear safety and regional stability. Iranian officials deny pursuing nuclear weapons.
