Adriana Smith, a brain-dead Georgia woman, gave birth prematurely to a baby boy named Chance via emergency cesarean section on June 13th. Her mother, April Newkirk, reported that Chance is in the NICU but expected to be okay. Smith's case sparked controversy after her family claimed Georgia's six-week abortion ban mandated keeping her on life support. However, the Attorney General's office stated the ban doesn't require this. Smith will be taken off life support on Tuesday.
