Nintendo Switch 2 owners who use a Mig cartridge face an indefinite ban

Nintendo is banning Nintendo Switch 2 consoles using the Mig microSD card, a device allowing users to play game backups. The ban, indicated by error code 2134-4508, prevents access to online services. While the Mig's creators claim it's for backups and development, Nintendo considers using it for pirated or even legitimate game copies a violation of its terms. Affected consoles are essentially bricked after a factory reset, though accounts remain unaffected. This aggressive action reflects Nintendo's strong stance against piracy, especially given the Switch 2's rapid sales success.
