34 Palestinians killed in new shootings near food distribution centers, medics say

At least 34 Palestinians were killed Monday in shootings near Israeli- and U.S.-supported food distribution centers in Gaza. This is the deadliest day yet in near-daily shootings as Palestinians try to access the centers, run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). Witnesses report Israeli troops firing on crowds attempting to reach the centers. The Israeli military hasn't commented, but previously stated troops fired warning shots at those approaching their positions. The GHF claims no incidents occurred at their sites or during operating hours, while UN agencies criticize the new aid distribution system, arguing it allows Israel to weaponize aid. The ongoing conflict has resulted in over 55,300 Palestinian deaths according to Gaza's Health Ministry.
