A New Obesity Pill May Burn Fat Without Suppressing Appetite

A new obesity drug, SANA, shows promise in early trials. Unlike Ozempic, SANA doesn't suppress appetite but instead boosts metabolism by activating creatine-dependent thermogenesis, burning energy and fat. A small Phase I trial with obese participants showed approximately 3% weight loss after two weeks at the highest dose, comparable to Ozempic's results, without affecting appetite. The drug, derived from salicylate, was well-tolerated with no serious side effects.
