Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) used domestically designed drones in Operation Spiderweb, a long-range strike on Russian airfields. These advanced UAVs, developed and manufactured by SBU engineers, bypassed Russian defenses to target strategic bombers and surveillance aircraft across multiple Russian regions. The operation, planned for over 18 months under President Zelensky's supervision, resulted in the destruction or damage of dozens of Russian aircraft, significantly impacting their air power. The drones were covertly transported to Russia and remotely deployed.
