IAEA chief suggests Iran stole documents from Israeli nuclear site

IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi confirmed that Iran's claimed seizure of Israeli nuclear secrets seemingly targets the Soreq Nuclear Research Center. Grossi acknowledged press reports but stated there's been no official communication from Iran. This revelation comes amidst heightened tensions over Iran's nuclear program, as it nears weapons-grade uranium enrichment and potentially rejects a US proposal for a new deal. Israel hasn't responded officially, though Iran claims to have obtained thousands of documents, possibly as a response to a 2018 Israeli operation. The IAEA is expected to address Iran's noncompliance this week, potentially triggering UN sanctions.
