Fourteen unmarked graves from Greece's civil war era have been discovered in a Thessaloniki park during renovations. The bodies, likely communist sympathizers executed between 1946 and 1953, were found near the Yedi Kule prison, known for its wartime atrocities. Unlike a previous discovery of neatly arranged bodies, these remains were jumbled, suggesting a hasty burial. Local officials plan to continue the excavation, with hopes of conducting DNA testing to identify the victims and provide closure to their families.
