Diamondbacks pitcher Corbin Burnes will undergo Tommy John surgery, ending his 2025 season and potentially his 2026 season as well. The news, while devastating, wasn't entirely unexpected following recent elbow discomfort. Burnes, a 2021 Cy Young Award winner, signed a six-year, $210 million contract with Arizona last offseason. His absence significantly weakens the Diamondbacks' already struggling rotation, impacting their playoff chances and future plans. The team will now face difficult decisions regarding their trade deadline strategy and 2026 rotation.
