Japan's ispace company is attempting a lunar landing with its lander, Resilience, carrying a mini-rover. This follows a previous failed attempt in 2021. The lander, launched in January from Florida, aims for a touchdown in the unexplored far north of the moon, specifically in Mare Frigoris. Resilience carries a rover equipped with a shovel to collect lunar soil for NASA. Success would mark a significant achievement in the growing commercial space race, following Firefly Aerospace's successful landing in March.
