Israel launched airstrikes in southern Beirut on the eve of Eid al-Adha, targeting a Hezbollah unit allegedly producing drones. The IDF cited the unit's production of "thousands" of drones funded by Iran as justification. This action, despite a six-month ceasefire, prompted evacuations and caused significant disruption. Lebanese officials condemned the strikes as a violation of international agreements. Hezbollah has not yet commented. Prior to the strikes, Israel issued evacuation warnings via social media. This latest action follows a series of similar incidents in the region since a ceasefire in November.
