Cologne, Germany underwent a massive WWII bomb defusal operation on Wednesday, requiring the evacuation of approximately 20,000 people from the city center. Three US-made bombs, weighing 900kg and 450kg, were discovered in Deutz. The operation, one of the largest since WWII, caused significant traffic disruptions and train cancellations. A delay occurred due to a resident refusing evacuation. The defusal was ultimately successful.
