Yankees Closer Weaver Injured, Out 4-6 Weeks | JQJO

Yankees closer Luke Weaver is expected to be placed on the 15-day injured list due to a hamstring injury suffered during Sunday's game. The absence is projected to last four to six weeks, potentially returning around the All-Star break. Devin Williams, who initially struggled, has recently improved and is the most likely replacement in the ninth inning. Other bullpen options include Mark Leiter Jr. and Fernando Cruz, the latter expected back from injury soon. Weaver's injury impacts the team's bullpen strategy before the trade deadline and his upcoming free agency.
