Ukraine strikes bridge connecting Russia to Crimea with underwater explosives

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) claimed responsibility for a third attack on the Crimean Bridge, using underwater explosives to damage its supporting pillars. The operation, involving 1,100 kg of explosives, reportedly caused significant damage and temporarily halted traffic. This follows previous attacks in 2022 and 2023 and a recent drone strike on Russian airfields. SBU head Vasyl Malyuk stated the bridge is a legitimate military target due to its use in supplying Russian troops. Russia has not yet officially responded, but maritime traffic near Sevastopol was also temporarily suspended.
