Google Pixel devices are expected to receive a much-requested update to their Now Playing feature. A new Quick Settings tile, discovered in an Android System Intelligence update, will allow users to manually identify songs on demand. Currently, manual identification is only possible through the lock screen, limiting usability. This new addition will offer a background option, unlike the existing Google app's "Song Search" shortcut which takes over the display. While not yet live, this quality-of-life improvement is a welcome addition for Pixel users.
