Doctor Who: Rose Tyler Returns, Gatwa's Reign Ends | JQJO

Ncuti Gatwa's two-season run as the Fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who has concluded with a surprising regeneration. In the season finale, he sacrificed himself, regenerating into a Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) facsimile. Piper expressed excitement about returning to the Whoniverse, while showrunner Russell T Davies hinted at an untold story. Gatwa thanked fans for their support. The BBC's decision to end Gatwa's tenure early and bring back Piper surprised viewers, given prior statements suggesting a third season. A new spin-off series, The War Between The Land and The Sea, is also in the works.
