The Sky Harbor International Airport, the official weather gauge, has recorded measurable rain in the first week of June on only 21 occasions since 1896. A 75% chance of rain is forecast for Sunday and Monday, potentially bringing up to half an inch. The unusual weather system is affecting a large area of the Southwest, including parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado.
