RFK Jr.’s fluoride ban would ruin 25 million kids’ teeth, cost $9.8 billion

Fluoridation's benefits are under attack in the US, with two states banning it and more considering similar action. A Harvard study projects that eliminating fluoride nationwide, as proposed by the US health secretary, would lead to a significant increase in tooth decay among children and teens. Over five years, an estimated 25.4 million additional cavities are predicted, costing at least $9.8 billion in dental bills. After ten years, the projected figures rise to 53.8 million cavities and $19.4 billion in costs.
