Electronic Arts (EA) has shut down Cliffhanger Games, the studio developing a Black Panther action game. The closure, part of EA's restructuring to focus on core franchises like The Sims and EA Sports FC, follows previous layoffs at Respawn Entertainment. Cliffhanger's former head, Kevin Stephens, had previously expressed ambition to create a definitive Black Panther game experience. While EA confirmed continued development of its Iron Man and Star Wars Jedi projects, the cancellation of the Black Panther game marks a significant loss for fans.
