A Liberia-flagged container ship, MSC ELSA 3, sank off the coast of Kerala, India, after an accident in the Arabian Sea. All 24 crew members were rescued, but the ship carried 640 containers, including hazardous cargo and fuel. Kerala issued a high alert, warning fishermen and coastal residents to avoid the area due to hazardous materials washing ashore. The Indian Coast Guard deployed resources to monitor the situation and mitigate potential pollution.
