Phil Robertson, patriarch of the 'Duck Dynasty' family, passed away at age 79. His family announced the news on social media, expressing gratitude for his life and faith. While a cause of death wasn't disclosed, his son Jase revealed in December that Robertson was in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Robertson, a former athlete and inventor of the Duck Commander duck call, achieved fame through the A&E reality show. He was briefly suspended from the show in 2013 following controversial comments but later returned. Known for his conservative views, Robertson supported both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.
