Oliver Widger, a 29-year-old Oregon man known as "sailing_with_phoenix" on social media, completed a solo sail from Oregon to Hawaii with his cat, Phoenix. His journey, documented for his over 2 million social media followers, was spurred by a Klippel-Feil syndrome diagnosis and dissatisfaction with his job. He quit his job, liquidated his retirement savings, and bought a sailboat.
