Alice, a juvenile East African crowned crane, escaped Cougar Mountain Zoo on May 21st. After a week-long adventure around Lake Sammamish, including interactions with local birds and exploring residential areas, she was safely recovered on Friday night. Residents helped locate Alice, who was found near the lake. She's back at the zoo, under veterinary care, and reunited with her mate, Hatter.
