Disney has delayed the release of Marvel's "Avengers: Doomsday" to December 18, 2026, and "Avengers: Secret Wars" to December 17, 2027. This follows a broader restructuring of Disney's film slate, removing several unannounced Marvel projects. The delays reflect Disney CEO Bob Iger's strategy to improve quality by focusing Marvel's output. The new release dates place both Avengers films in the lucrative pre-holiday season, similar to the successful launch of "Spider-Man: No Way Home". The move also creates a significant gap in MCU theatrical releases.
