2 hospitals in northern Gaza are surrounded by Israeli troops, staff say

Israeli troops have encircled two of northern Gaza's last functioning hospitals, the Indonesian and al-Awda hospitals, preventing access and causing damage through shelling and airstrikes. A third hospital, Kamal Adwan, is also out of service due to the conflict. Evacuation orders issued by Israel for the area further strain the already crippled healthcare system, leaving the hospitals at risk of complete closure. The WHO reports nearly 700 attacks on healthcare facilities in Gaza since the start of the conflict. Israel claims Hamas uses hospitals to hide fighters, while Palestinians allege the attacks are part of a plan to displace the population.
