Ukraine, Russia say drone strikes continue after Trump-Putin call

Ukraine and Russia traded accusations of overnight drone attacks, following a nearly two-hour phone call between Presidents Putin and Trump. Trump claimed a ceasefire was imminent, but Putin only suggested a potential temporary truce contingent on agreements. Zelenskyy accused Russia of delaying negotiations to prolong the conflict. European leaders plan increased sanctions on Russia despite Trump's reluctance, citing a chance for progress in talks. Kremlin spokesman Peskov stated no decisions have been made regarding future talks, while a former US ambassador asserted Putin aims for Ukrainian surrender.
