Two Mexican Navy cadets, América Yamilet Sanchez (20) and Adal Jair Marcos (22), tragically died when their training ship, the Cuauhtémoc, lost power and crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge. The ship, en route to Iceland, suffered a mechanical failure, snapping its masts. 27 others sustained injuries, 11 critically. Sanchez's great-aunt is demanding answers regarding the accident, while friends remember both cadets fondly. The incident involved 277 personnel aboard.
